Redneck zombies

Ya'll have got to check out the trailer for this movie. It's called The South Will Rise Again and it's a southern zombie movie with mullets, karate and meth labs. I can't wait to see it in all of its glory.

Speaking of mullets, here's a Russian mullet getting smacked down by a t.v. show host.

Yes!

Well, this weekend was relaxing and frustrating at the same time. Friday, some guys came and cut down a tree in our front yard. Actually, they cut down half of it, I assume that they'll finish the job today. Anyway, apparently one of the limbs fell down on our phone line and knocked it out. So, I've basically been without a phone for a few days and that sucks. It also meant that when my car was blocked in my driveway that I couldn't really get in touch with anybody to pick my sorry ass up on Friday night. Therefore, I spent the night on the couch instead of getting drunk and listening to various styles of music at various venues.

Yesterday, many fun things did occur. I went to see Wedding Crashers with my lady friend and it was by far one of the funniest movies I've seen. Way to go, Vince. You have solidified your place in my psyche as an amazingly funny man.

Afterwards, we went by the new bowling alley next to La Parilla on a whim to see if it was open yet. Surprisingly, it was. Therefore we bowled. However, particularly due to the high price of the lanes, we did not bowl for long. In fact, it was damn near 20 dollars for us to play for half an hour with the shoe rental included. So, if you check this place out, I suggest that you take at least 4 people with you to make it worth it. It's 20 bucks an hour.

The place was pretty damn cool, though. Good tunes and a bar. On Sunday!

In other news, we have some live songs on the band website for your enjoyment and/or scrutiny. Check it out, motherfuckers!

More randomness

Hey ya'll, I know it's been a while since I rapped at ya...

I've recently been somewhat of a shut-in as I have no money and need to stay away from downtown because I know that I'll just buy crap that I don't need. Since I've been home a lot, there has been much rearranging of my room and house. I'm trying to stay as productive as possible while leaving time to bust ass in probably the greatest video game that I have ever played, God of War. Seriously. It's fucking awesome. Play it.

In other linky-news, I'd like for you to check out this pretty funny Starbucks commercial.

Here's something for the politically inclined. There's a documentary coming out about oil and stuff. There are a lot of clips on this page and it's worth looking into. Apparently, the largest factory in Afghanistan is owned by the Red Cross and makes prosthetic limbs.

I've also been reading some C.S. Lewis lately. Pretty good stuff. I lead an exciting life, it's true.

Novak loses it and other observations

Hey ya'll, sorry that it's been a few days, been busy.

Well, apparently, Bob Novak was suspended from CNN for doing this while having a discussion with the ever-annoying, but still "cool in my book" James Carville.

Also, according to this crazy woman at church, the Lord needs to give you sinners enamas.

Anyway, how are ya'll doin'? I'm doing ok. I'm still trying to get settled at the new house. Still can't find time to get my room situated. Hopefully that'll change.

I'll see you fools at the prom, if you live in Athens and aren't going out in the boonies with the OTC.

Random stuff

I'll soon post another entry on the rock tour...until that time, I will point out some ridiculous things on the internets.

I'll begin with the insane people at Human Events Magazine's list of the Ten Most Harmful Government Programs.

Included in this list are the internal revenue code, social security, the endangered species act, and the scourge of the United States known as sugar import quotas and subsidies! Oh, the horror! Save us, Dick Armey! (He's on the panel of judges for the list)

Some of you may have seen this if you were watching FOX in Atlanta on some lucky day. I assure you that it is amazing.
